Default Short-term manual for learning purposes

Does anyone have any suggestions on the easiest way to get ahold of a stick car for a weekend or something? I need something to practice clutch on before my S4 arrives. None of the major rental car agencies has anything with a stick. A beater would do just fine here.

Check for a "Rent-A-Wreck" in your area. Seriously!

Default Find a friend with a truck

Because truck engines are much torquier (for towing purposes), they are harder to stall when learning (or relearning) to drive a stick. They're a little more forgiving. I just sold my 91 Trooper or I'd let you use it.
