Default I pondered the same question once and....

had the snub mount first and then did the AWE DTS. I felt that it was a good upgrade to do both. Both parts do different things and really do help the driveline. Looking at everything that you have already done to the car I would add both of them if I were you.

Default You should try the engine mount first and see how much of a difference it makes before u spend (m)

300 bucks on a piece of aluminum! :P

Default Full details here. DTS and the ADS perform about the same. I've tested since this was written.

Default I installed DTS first then added the APR snub mount shortly after (more)...

Think of the engine and tranny as on big fixed assembly. The snub mount supports the front of the engine, basically resticts vertical displacements, the DTS supports the the underside of the tranny, basically resticts vertical displacements with minimal torsional rigidity. So like others have said, they both reduce drivetrain movement with totally different design concepts (with tradoffs of price and installation difficulty). Before you install either, note the amount of movement of the engine when you shut it off. You will see quite a bit less movement after installation.

When I just had the DTS only, there was noticeably less slop in the drivetrain on aggressive upshifts and when downshifting. Even shifting with the stock shifter felt smoother and more crisp. When I added the APR snub mount, it only amplified the benefits. You feel alot more in touch with the driveline with either upgrade. Passengers won't even notice the benefits you are enjoying. Only real negative is in stop-n-go traffic, you get a bit more joltiness, which makes you work on being more precise with your throttle inputs.

As everybody stated, snub mount is a bit of a chore to install. Seating the new snub was the hardest part for me, so I just lined the snub up and started screwing stuff back together to seat it. Hope this was some help...

Default Many people like the combination of the snub mount and the trans bar.

They can be complimentary to each other. The main difference for most people is the install.

Default Snub can be installed w/o removing the bumper!

New Dimensions did mine yesterday w/o removing my RS4 front bumper!! Talk to Nick... Great job!
