Default Should I just buy a new MAF or is there something I can do... more inside

I used to consistently read around 250 g/s on my MAF readings, now after a few times being in and out it now consistently reads around 230 g/s.. I STFA, think my MAF is going bad. I have APR chip, AWE S-Flo.
If I need to buy a new MAF, would it be bad to buy a refurbished MAF from ECS? Any must knows about those? Or should I just man up and get a new one? (Hitachi or Bosch?) Any help is really appreciated.
Again, I STFA, just need some reccomendations whether to buy a new MAF or maybe clean this one?
TIA

-Jeff

p.s. would extended warranty cover a MAF??

Default remove the maf.. place in a bag of 91-99% alcohol.. shake for 30 - 60 seconds. let air dry.. install

see how she performs after that... its easy to do.. and better then buying a new/referb... if it just needs to be cleaned

Default If you are in need of a new Bosch MAF, I have one for sale...

Its easy to figure out which MAF you have. 2000 models have Bosch MAFs, 2001-up use the Hitachi unit.
I bought it for my car thinking I had a MAF issue, but it turned out to be a boost leak. This is a brand new one, not the reconditioned ones that are being sold now. Email me! =)

Ext. Warranty never covers it unless it is broken!

I just bought a new one for my 2000 from the dealer. It was only $138. I didn't think that was to bad considering a brand new part, from the dealer.
