Since it's wheel day... What are these worth? Anyone interested? (Avus w/M2s)
What are these worth?
(4) 17" Stock Avus wheels with Dunlop Winter Sport M2, 225/45/17 tires w/~3500 miles on them from last winter. And (1) Avus with a 225/45/17 Michelin Pilot Sport MXX3 with ~10,000 miles on it (great spare!).
Two of the wheels are perfect.
One wheel has a quarter-sized scuff mark on each spoke (from the trunk liner rubbing on it I guess... this is the one with the MXX3 mounted).
The other two have minor curb rash, no dents or chunks missing!
The tires are in awesome condition, I used them for about the second half of last winter (it was in the shop the first half).
Here are pics of the wheels...

And here are a couple of close-ups of the treads on the M2s...

And... here's the curb rash on the worst of the two...
<img src="http://www.yyyoink.com/pics/stock_wheels/wheel_rash.jpg">
It basically goes all the way around, that's the worst spot. On the other "rashed" wheel it only goes about halfway around and is much better than the above picture.
Anyone care to throw a guess at what these are worth? Anyone care to buy 'em? Would I be better off having the two "rashed" wheels refinished before trying to sell them?
I'd really like to sell the wheels with the tires (i.e. I won't seperate them) and would REALLY like to sell them to someone in Chicagoland, but if the price is right I guess I can ship 'em.
Thanks for lookin'!

3500 miles, holey cow...
Where you tracking on them? ;- )
There looks to be no usable tread left on the M2s. Curb-rash, sheesh, someone needs to learn how to park? Even your sidewalls are skuffed. 8^ P

I'm not sure what the wheels are worth, but the M2's are toast.

So you're the guy who's wheaties I took a leak in this morning!
The curb rash isn't from parking... not even from a curb... a little off-road excursion can be blamed for that.
The tires really look that bad to you? They didn't have a ton more tread to them than that when new.

Sorry...
Didn't mean to come off the wrong way.
The winter tires are only good to about 6/32nds (start out @ 11/32nds). My winter tires look like that after 10k miles. I'm a little conservative driving on them though.
Sorry, the wheels and tires look like my girl friend drove in the city for a week. ;- )

Re: Wheels with offroad experience
<center><img src="http://members.verizon.net/~vze4phja/images/wheelsm.jpg"></center><p>Only a few hundred miles on them.
Driven weekends only.
Strong, lightweight, only 14 lbs.
Most cracks easily covered with many coats of thick paint.
No, that's not the lighting making them look out of round.
Lot's available.
$1500.00/ea new, make me an offer.

Re: "Didn't mean to come off the wrong way."...
Me neither... no problemo! I was just kinda shocked that someone thinks they look dead. They look almost new to me... So are you seeing things or do I suck as a photographer? (I know the answer)... Guess it'll be easier to sell 'em in person :-)
