Here's what I was told.....
When Stasis first introduced the alcon caliper kits, there was not an Alcon rotor to go with it. Instead they used Brembo rotors on their (Stasis) hats. The Brembo friction rings are the ones used in NASCAR. When I bought my kit (late 2003), these Brembo rotors were the only ones available. When it was time for replacements, I replaced them with the Alcons. Stasis told me that the higher Nickel content of the Alcon rotors makes them a better choice.

Because i ordered Alcon setup and as they were advertised (long_......
The come with alcon rotors and calipers. If i wanted to get Brembos i would have done so as i have a whosale account with them and would have saved serious money. But after talking to several respected tuners and companies, i was convinced to get the alcons as they were that much better to warrant the price significant price difference between the two, especially considering i could have gotten the brembos whosale. As this post below show i have been in family business for a long long time and, to me, one of the most important things in life as well is honesty and customer service/friendliness. If i was sold something that was misrepresented, thats very dishonest and should not be allowed to happen in our community. I am in no way trying to point blame at anyone as i have not heard anything from either of these companies on this matter, but i am speaking more about business in general than these two companies which have an very upstaanding rep here for the most part. I have never had any bad dealing with either of them, and as a matter of fact, have always had EXCELLENT customer service in any transactions/dealings with both companies
