Sketch Factor: 1 low - 5 high -> 5-speed manual in S4?
I am looking at getting a replacement S4 for my high mileage one (put on 70,000 km in 1 1/2 years damn you Audi for creating a fun to drive car).
Everything appears to check out, and this car feels more 'tight' then my current S4. One thing though they told me is that the previous owner had lost 3rd gear. So instead of buying a new 6-speed / getting a repair, they went for the cheaper 5-speed (likely out of an A4). The dealership was promising though that they would be putting in a new 6-speed.
I was going to walk away immediately if it was staying 5-speed.
Thoughts? Things to watch if decided to proceed further?

most likly a 2.8 A4 gear box. The gearing is better for dragging.
Will still top out at 175mph, its similair gearing to the S4.I thought about doing it to mine. Since i have a 2.8 trans,but couldnt figure out what all i needed.
