Smoked a Mustang Conv. GT lastnight.
I was in Glendale Christmas shopping and was getting onto 134 West. I see this new GT conv. driving aggressively changing lanes back and forth. At the light we ended up lining up and the entrance ramp merges into one lane. On green, I lauched at around 2500rpm (no biggi, right?) and he kept up with me up to about 30mph, but once in 2nd gear, I just started to pull away and about 4 - 5 car length, he must have gave up.
I was smiling all the way home.
X Chip only.

During National S-Car Event, Cody and I had a fun run in w/ a SVT Cobra.
We where split off from the group and ran it to Brand spanking new Red SVT Cobra coupe on the way up to Estes Park. At first he ignored us (I don't think he had a clue what an S4 was), but then we got some open space and he figured it out real quick! We got in to the canyon (Forgive me I don't know the name) and it was on...
At first there were three S4's, but one dropped out because he had kids in the car...poor guy missed out! The cobra was sandwiched between Cody and I ( I was in front). No matter where we were, passing or in the corners the SVT was being walked away from (Thank you Quattro, KKK, and others..hehe). Cody could never get around the Cobra (he was all over it though), but there was little room and the Cobra was holding pretty good defensive lines from what I could see (Wish I was at home, I have pics). Every time there was a passing lane or a clear traffic it was on and the cobra was in catch up mode.
What I couldn't believe was the Cobra was running his brand new hand built motor in to the ground. He had temp plates from a week earlier.
Oh well, that was the longest race (ERR, I mean fun) I've had in the S. Man that was fun, but we got lost on the way to the meeting point...doh!
Haha, some poor SVT owner going to be Audi paranoid from now on...LOL
Just thought I'd share that w/ you all.

Yes, it is fairly easy to beat a gt with a stock s4, but with some
bolt-ons, those cars can be crazt fast. My coworker has a gt convertible with about 8k in modds and is running 12.5's in the quarter mile.
I chipped S4 should be able to walk a Cobra as well.
