Default Back already?

Hope you didn't run into the speed trap on I-5 before Buttonwillow. I almost got tagged. Thanks V1!

Default Good question....

I guess part of the answer is because we were already part way into it when we decided to REALLY modify her car, and the other part was the challenge of it. Nobody has really setup a competitive Audi for the unique handling characteristics of autocross, plus fast AWD autox cars are kinda rare.

I could definitely tell you were faster in the Avant this weekend, just watching you from the paddock. Sharon is learning the Miata very quickly, prior to this weekend she only had about 25min in that car in November. She got down to 2:19.0 by the end of the event, which is where Bryon and I were after 4 days in the car.

Default Did she spin off coming out of 8 late Friday?

Or was that another white Miata that sprayed those nasty sharp rocks all over the track?

If it was her I have a brief bit of video.

Default You have understeer? I can toss my rear at will with only the 22mm bar and stock suspension. I think

you need to start autoxing to learn how to rotate your car a lot better. I think you just are not pushing it.

Default It's not at turn in, but when I think I can be going a bit faster DURING the

process of turning towards the apex (the space/time between the actual turn in and reaching the apex), especially in constant radius sweepers (or even possibly decreasing radius), the car just plows.

It's definitely the weight of the car as it doesn't like going any bit faster than I was trying to take it through turns 2 and 4 and 5a.

Hurrumph.
