Default Snow Tires

I figured since most of us are out of the snow, does anyone have any preference over which snow or all weather tire they like the best? And what did the set cost ?

I also used Dunlop M2 Winter tires, 225/45-17, and they were great.

Default I had this past winter Blizzak LM-22 and performed great in icy and heavy snow. Was good on dry

My parents have Dunlop Winter Sport M2 on ML430 and they als did great.
But don't worry about snow now, get yourself some nice summer tires

imo i think the 17 inch blizzaks lm22 suck compared to the 16 in haaka 10 that i can no longer use because of big brakes so my winter driving has slowed a bit

I can't give you a comparison, just the experience with my tires.
Pirelli 210 SnowSport 225/45-17; $160 per tire (local shop) mounted on stock wheels;
Tires hold very good on dry, cold surface. When temperatures go up to 50 or higher (time for summer tires anyway), on dry surface they start to smear quite a bit.
Traction and control on wet surface is excellent.
Snow and ice: I'd classify the traction as good. This has to do with my wide tire size - a smaller tire width will propably do better. For MY purpose and the few days that I'm actually driving on snow surface, the tires are just fine.

Default Re: Snow Tires

dunlop wintersports m2 never let me down, maybe a bit wider than ideal, but good. Just switched back to stock and hit a bit of snow up to the ski area, night and day difference.
