looking forward to putting it soon.
decided to go with the standard basslink and not the basslink II (which seems to be the newer version).
i hope it adds in some more fuller bass to the rear.
i'll post some pics when its in.

I'm still w/o car. Been S4-less for nearly 4 weeks. Gotta wait two more since I won't get the stasis tranny for another week. Blah blah..
At O'hare? Go to the United terminal and look at all the pretty lights.

My friend had one that we installed, and he yanked it out after a month or two.
I cannot reccomend them.
Sorry.

I just wanted more solid bass, so I never turned my up to the point where it was shaking windows (although it probably could). I tune it so that I can feel the base through my seat just a bit.
The A4 crowd seem to like theirs, overall.

In all cases I had the unit "standing" up, i.e. the sub wasn't laying face down on the trunk. In general, the bass is boomier and more washed out when the unit is nearest the opening of the trunk (i.e. farthest away from the rear seats), especially when sitting in a corner The bass seems to get tighter when the unit is against the rear seats.
First time I put the unit in the left corner of the trunk, near the CD-changer opening. Bass was somewhat boomy and washed out, and I had to turn down the gain to keep it tighter.
Next I put it directly behind the rear seat, driver's side. Bass got tighter, less boomy. When I stuck it against the rear seats but in the middle, the bass got even less boomy (had to turn up the gain), but I like sticking it in the corner better since I can still pull down one of the rear seats.
I found there was a small difference whether the "passive" side of the unit faced the rear seat or not. Right now I have the "active" side facing the rear seat, i.e. the side with all the gain controls.
For installation I took 2 small pieces of wood (although I guess I could have taken one large piece), applied some hi-strength sticky pads, stuck it directly to the metal underneath the carpet, put the carpet back on top and screwed the Basslink into the wood.
