Default So, was at a local tuner shop yesterday for a suspension inspection, and afterward

one of their guys tells me that I have the "smaller 1.8t oil filter on my car and I should get that swapped out."

"Are you sure? I was under the impression that it was larger than stock, since I got them from Vast Performance and many B5 guys like them. Also, my car now takes 6.9 liters versus the stock 6.5 liters, so I think it's actually a bit larger."

"Oh, let me get you a quote on the cost to replace an upper control arm, then."

I think it was me talking in terms of "liters" than threw him off.

Oh, and the cost to replace one upper control arm came in at around $300 with tax.

Looks like another DIY project just lined itself up. I already ordered the replacement uppers, so don't tell me to go buy the whole set from PureMS :-P
