so my VDO boost gauge looks great at day..but WTF is wrong w/ it at nighttime??

Default so my VDO boost gauge looks great at day..but WTF is wrong w/ it at nighttime??

I love how it looks and how it looks fairly OEM for the price i paid:

but at night time, it is unevenly lit and the bulb is soooo dull u can barely make out the numbers:
<img src="http://pictureposter.audiworld.com/57605/aut_8775.jpg"> don't let the redness of it fool u, its really an ugly incandescent yellow color. so heres my ?: was i supposed to get some bulb cover w/ this so it would be evenly lit, or can i buy one? or do all the VDO gauges look like this at night?

last time I checked it was around $50 but it all depends on who you get it from

To answer: YES you should have had a RED bulb cover that will make it seem more OEM.

Default I have a red LED bulb that will fit - I dont need it, its all yours if ya want it
