Default So what are the cons of an early 2001 avant with the old style badge?
One showed up at dealer with old style badge. Wondering the changes from old style to new badge. Thanks.

I'm bored so I'll tell you what I know. For the 2001.5s and 2002s they got rid of the F-hose, made bigger oil inlets on the turbos, different/larger(?) oil lines to the turbos. I think the 2001.5s+ got a new MAF and silver mirror covers were available on the sports package. I think there is more and I probably got one or two things wrong.
Correct me if I'm wrong.

Default I think 2000 and early 2001 models had a different type of K03 turbo
I believe the late 2001 and 2002 models had a slightly different design due to turbo failures in early models.

all B5 avants are 2001.5s even the 2002's there were none built before that

Default they all should be at least 2001.5's and up with new Badges...
01.5's are the same as 02's...as far as the Avants go...read MarkP's site about the Avants

on AVANTS they are all 2001.5's if the badge is wrong it was prob in a wreck...
