Default Some DBW/VAG help please

no help in the A4 forums so I thought I would ask here. In searching I have a feeling block 006 might not be the same with the S, but in any case, I'm asking about the block which tells you when you are at idle/part throttle/overrun/enrich. TIA.

When I'm at idle I see idle, when I'm at part throttle I see it say part throttle. When I get off WOT throttle is says overrun. When I get on the throttle it says enrich, then about half a second later it says part throttle again until I let off. Even if I get full boost before putting the pedal to the floor I get part throttle. Is that right?

Sounds right. It never says "Full Throttle".

Default but should it stay on enrich when the pedal is on the floor?

I guess I'm getting at if I have the pedal on the floor and it says part throttle, am I going from closed to open loop?

Default Its been a while since I logged it but what you are describing sounds like what I saw.

Dunno if the part-throttle signifies open loop or not. If I have a chance I'll do another log and see if I can figure it out.

FWIW, I know from wideband O2 data that my car runs closed loop for the entire WOT period.

Default Open loop = adjusting AFR based on O2 sensors...

Closed loop = relying entirely on preprogrammed fuel maps.

Generally open loop happens at idle and part throttle and closed loop is at WOT.

Default respectfully disagree

Generally, open loop means there is no feedback signal to complete the "loop". That's why the loop is open.
