Sooper PArts department at local Audi......parts guy is teh suck
Me: hey i need to buy an oil filter for my car.
Him: What car?
Me: 2001 Audi S4
Him: What year?
Me 2001
Him: Do you have your VIN Number?
Me: For an Oil Filter...no.
Him: ok, what car is it again?
Me: 2001 Audi S4.
Him: What engine is in that?
Me: 2.7 TT
Him: So it's and A4?
Me: NO GODDAMNIT, IT'S AN S4....2001, 2.7 TT, same as in the A6. I HATE YOU
Him: ooooh, an A6?
ME: walking out the door.....
Him: What car?
Me: 2001 Audi S4

heh, i know what you mean...
I needed some relay wire/pin "repair kits" to wire up my version of the fog mod. So I get the part number I need from ETKA and drive down to the local VW dealership.
I give the parts guy the post-it note with the PN on it and he says, "its out of stock".
Well I know that there are like 4 other "kits" which will work with the relay plate, but i didnt bring those PNs with me. So I tell him this.
...he says quite curtly, "whats the application sir?"
me: "there is none, its in the electrical section"
him again: "whats the application, SIR?"
me again: "there is none, its in the electrical section of etka"
finally he says: "you know etka?"
me: "yup"
him: "come around and you can look it up"
so I go around back to the terminal and quickly bring up the electrical section, meanwhile the parts guy is staring in amazement.
then i do a couple of ATP searches to find the pins i need, the parts guy yells into the shop: "joe, i think i found your replacement...this guy knows what he is doing".
so he asks me, "what dealership do you work at?"
me: "i dont"
"so how do you know ETKA?"
"I'm really into cars" (LOL)
"oh"
I grab the pins out of the electical bin he brought out and walk back up front to pay.
In the end he was pretty nice, and gave me a 15% discount on my purchase.
funny stuff.
