Default Speaking of test pipes, do you guys running them get popping noises when under vacuum?

I notice when I cruise down a hill or to a stop in gear (so pretty much max vacuum), I get a fair amount of pops and gurgles. I've also have a backfire-esquue pop after a hard gear run up (probably throwing flames). Is this all normal? I'll retune tomorrow for a bit and make sure the mixture is good...

If I get the occasional .9 O2 reading, is that rich? I know .87 is ideal, and it's mostly there

IMO, yes. Mid 8's is fine and dandy.

Default Ok, maybe I'll go tuning right now - couple of quick questions...

Last time I was tuning I basically set the boost at 1.25 bar with the MBC, then played with either fueling or timing until things looked decent. Does that sound like a decent method? Also, if I get decent O2 readings on acceleration and normal driving, but high right after lift, do I need to turn down deceleration fuel?

I think right now my accel. fuel is 110%, and primary is 102%. Don't know why, O2's were still decent there (Moss did the 110%, so it's probably a good value).

Default Yes, decent method. Yes to reducing decel.

I'm sure Moss had a reason for doing whatever he did. What that reason is, I can't seem to figure that out. I must be missing something.... doesn't seem like it was necessary if you are seeing .87-.9 02 voltages and experiencing quite a bit of popping/burbling.

Default I think he was trying to reduce knock - I can't figure out why I still have some higher knock

I guess once Jason gets his dyno we'll do some tuning and get to the bottom of it.

Default Anyone near you have ECUx? Would love to see CF, timing retard, KV, timing, boost, 02 voltages.

I'm sure if I was looking at it, I'd think of other variables too.

On the topic of ECUx, I am very intimidated after reading Mark P's post on it. I have yet to use it, but it seems a lot more complicated than I thought it would be? LOL, I'm such a lazy ***!
