Spent an hour in my passenger seat this weekend with my 2-y.o. at the wheel of my S4...
It seems this was the weekend she wanted to drive my Audi a lot. So, on 4 different occasions we went out to the garage and hopped in the car. She got in the driver's seat, I got in the passenger seat and she threw her blanket in the backseat. We took trips to Gymboree, the grocery store and grandma's house, all without leaving the garage (according to her at least). I did learn that Audi makes a strong steering wheel lock. Despite what must have been at least a thousand violent tries back and forth, my daughter couldn't get the steering wheel to turn. At one point I told her it wouldn't turn without the keys so she tried to stick her finger in the ignition keyhole and turn it. She realized that wouldn't work so she wanted to run back in the house and get my keys when I told her I didn't have them. Also, the hazard lights and radio still work with no key in the car, but thankfully nothing else does, especially not the horn. I am also fortunate to still have a windshield wiper stalk, and when I try to put the car in gear tomorrow hopefully all goes well because my shifter received more abuse in the hands of my rabid 2-y.o. daughter than it has in any combination of my driving since I've had my S4. All in all it was a great time. ;-P

...and now she's up with a fever. Sheesh. Guess we needed more cowbell. Off to bed now....
....hopefully there will be sleep involved. Did I mention my wife's due date for our second daughter is in a week? Wanna bet this sick child brings that on tomorrow? Any takers?

My 9 year old daughter is already designing her first car :-X!
Pointing out cars on the road, identifying the models she wants, but in other specific colors. She also likes leather interior over cloth, and is quick to point out that my A4 is much nicer than my 90, and that my wife's S4 is faster. ?!
