Default for the stage 3 guys..

the car is a 00 s4 w/ 70k on the clock..i have less than 3k miles on a full stage 3 EPL kit.. ko4s..full fueling with 60lb injectors..rs4 everything.. custom tune.. asp tru-dual.. the list goes on for miles.. im running a conservative 22 psi.. averaging 22 mpg.. dyno 365hp/405tq ANYWAYS.. i was wondering what kind of mileage this setup, or similar stage 3s, will get for long term reliability. 40k, 50k miles? will the stock internals hold this power for life? will the car see 100k stage 3 miles? who has a high mileage stage 3 who can vouch for reliability?

Why are you now concerned about the "reliability" for a Stage 3? Kinda late dude.

not really "concerned".. just trying to see how other stage III's are doing long term... kinda late? what does that mean?

Default Considering the RS4 was designed to last its lifetime on its setup....

I don't see why a stage3 couldn't expect to see similar lifetime. yes, I know the RS4 had a lot of special parts and didn't make quite your kind of power, but these engines are built for some power and should last at those power levels. Start breaking 450whp with stock internals, expect much lower life expectancy. Just my $0.02

Default Kinda late only means that you are committed, since you've already done the mod.

I would expect the lifetime to be contingent on how much stress system is being subjected to. If your car is mainly a DD with some WOTS here and there, should last a long time. If your car is run at the strip or track all the time, will likely die much sooner.

The biggest question is that the S4 turbo reliability is all over the place. Some last 10K miles and some last 200K miles. From this difficult to predict absolutes.

Put your reply in subject line, easier to read.

Thanks,
Bruce

The stock B5 RS4 was not running anywhere near the boost levels on current high performance OTS kits

Default Depends on how often the motor sees 22 psi

I rarely get on it anymore with my car. Probably only once a month to pass someone on the highway.
