Hey guys I am getting K04's, stage 3 fueling, manifolds, dp's, RS4 engine and tranny mounts, fuel pump, and clutch/flywheel installed and I have gotten a couple quotes which vary between $2400 and $3200. Does that sound about right? High? Low? Thanks

Eh, I got mine does for $1700. Does 2400-3200 include fluids or any other work?

maybe a few other things but mostly piece of mind. There's obviously people who can do it for around half the price but are they going to put in the time/care/attention the car deserves? Maybe, maybe not but you could be lucky. The main thing I would consider is how trustworthy you feel the mechanic is and previous work.

I usually charge $1K for turbos, $200 for clutch, $250 TB, $200 Fueling, $0 on DP's since they come off anyway, $50-100 a side on Cam Tensioners, Seals, Valve Covers, and it goes from there. I don't nit pick motor mounts, some fluids etc. I may charge more or less depending on if I already have to take things apart. Keep in mind those guys go buy a book and charge per hour. I am dumb and charge flat rate which kicks me in the *** sometimes cuz there is always something that goes bad. Biggest one...stupid ex. mani studs!

$2400 from a shop isn't bad IMO for a good amount of work.
