Default It also increases the lever arm of the braking system...

thereby reducing the amount of friction needed from the pad to create the same amount of rotational resistance.

I've had great results with Pagid Orange on the track.

Default the fact that your ST's keep squeeking probably means that you ride the brakes, therefore ...

a brake system like the stasis kit, which is as you said is more sensitive to travel versus pressure modulation, is more appropriate for you

i have used many pads on my ST 332 kit and only the pagid oranges, if i didn't have time to remove them after a track day, squeek - the axxis ultimates never did

if you ride the brakes you are scrapping off all the material that has been deposited on the rotors to give you the better bite - i learned to avaid this braking style as this causes the "wet no braking" issue that has been posted about many times

great write-up

my prediction is that with the same track pads both systems will have similar performance as the temps go way up

Default I'm sure that the STaSIS brakes are "better" due to the increased cooling capacity

but I still think that they're WAY too much for anything but an exclusive track application. If the 355 Stoptech kit would work fine with the right pads, why would anyone need the STaSIS upgrade to an even larger kit? I guess if you like to have the best of everything, it makes sense, but...

Default I've heard good things about those pads. I'd like to try them sometime.

Maybe when my Cobalts wear out sometime this season.

Default I brought up the issue with ST and I was always really careful not to ride on the brakes

I am purposely riding on the new Alcons and no squeel whatsoever. I agree that I *could* have tried a different set of pads. I also addressed this with ST and they claimed that the pads provided with the kit were the best option. I didnt even finish my first set of pads before I sold them.
