Just did a timing belt today and installed the rest of my goodies.

At the same time I installed the following.

RS4 Injectors
RS4 Maf Accordian hose
Custom milled Tantrumwerks 85mm Maf housing (Bosch)
Vast 5 bar fpr

Previously installed:

RS4 Turbos K04
Bipipe
Labree Tantrumwerks downpipes and full exhaust
EVO CAI

Boost controller set at 1.4 bar peak.

Car builds boost and peaks at 1.4 bar then tapers down to .9 bar to redline. Is this normal?

Car feels great, runs strong except for cyl 3 misfiring.

And no, the taper down to .9 bar is not normal. I'd start by pressure testing the intake tract and checking for codes. Also wouldn't hurt to check what the DC is set for at high RPMs in your EBC.

I'm misfiring in cyl 3. going to check the seat on the injector. Wasn't a problem before the install so I bet it's just a loose plug or something.

I have a Joe P MBC... no EBC. confused.

I've yet to find a MBC that allowed you to set your boost to a certain peak number. Mine dynamically changes with weather.

Are you running a map clamp (TCD?)

boost at WOT climbs to 1.4... then tapers down to 1.2 then settles at about .9 bar at about 6500 rpm.

Not running a map clamp (TCD). Cyl 3 is misfiring like a bish... no idea what is wrong. I just went in there and tightened all the hoses and clamps again and made sure all injectors are seated properly.

Any ideas on why I'm misfiring?

Any thoughts would be much appreciated.

You have stage 3 software or regular GIAC X? Boost profile sounds like standard software.
