Default My pedal is rock hard, you and your friend must have air in your lines

The noise is from the slots, it's to be expected...

Default Re: Hmm, i assume you know the proper bleeding procedure and sequence? What bleeding method d

we had a VAG and were about to do it via ABS pump, but I insisted on old facioned method as people in a shop did it many times before. I am 99% sure that there is not even a hint of air in a system

Default you don't do it via the abs pump. You have to cycle the abs pump during the bleeding procedure.

You still have to bleed via the manual pump method, the vacuum method, or a pressure method.

Default I am sure he does not...:), I might. BTW perhaps you need to try other cars with fancy brakes to

feel what rock solid brakes are. First time I drove my Lotus s4s, I thought both of my feet needs to be on a brake pedal...

Perhaps, but my pedal doesn't even move besides the intial slop ... that's pretty hard regardless

Default 90% of the great "feel" from a big brake kit is from using a fixed caliper as compared to the stock

floating setup, which tends to flex more.
The fluid is only going to make it harder to boil it.
The lines don't do much with a stock floating caliper.
