Default suspension overhaul all done! I need advice for rims, audiworld!

The rims I have won't fit without spacers and longer lug bolts. The front calipers are stock and barely missed clearance with spacers totaling 5/8 of an inch. Pretty big spacer. I think I'd need a spacer 3/4 of an inch to clear the front caliper and one hell of a lig bolt to reach that deep. First, is it worth going this route? Second, if I do, where do I find that kind of hardware? I love these rims and tires, but if the combo isn't a good idea, I'll have to find another route to take I guess.

Thanks guys,

das4

they stock wheels? do you happen to know the offset of your rims? if you need to clear 3/4 of an inch, youre looking at some 20mm spacers. Both ECS and H&R make them, look fo rthe ones that include the extended bolts.

keep in mind that 20mm spacers are pretty big. if you already have a low offset, your wheels may stick out farther than you may want them too.

I guess I'm really trying to avoid an awkwardly handling car. The avus s4 rims have a 45mm offset, I believe and I think these wheels are a 54mm offset. To get them to clear the rotor, I'd have to buy a 20mm spacer and new lugs, I'm not sure which length yet. I don't want the addition of the spacer to add any imbalances to the handling characteristics. Maybe selling these rims and picking up some RS4 wheels would be best? I don't know. Do you have any knowledge on the subject?

all of the spacers that ecs and h&r make are hubcentric. they shouldnt wobble at all. im currently running 20mm's up front, and 25mm's out back. no problems yet
