Tangled with a G35 coupe
last night coming home from San Diego to LA. I'm a completely stock 6 spd and had one passenger in my car as did he but it looks like a chip will be in my future now.
Eventually I was able to pull past him but the car worked much harder than I would've liked and took way to long.

I think it's a nice looking car. Seems to me if you go with a loaded one
you're mighty close in price to a 350Z. It was about 1:30 AM when I tangled with this guy so we had lots of room. From what I could tell the handling was tight on this car. The G35 would probably have been fine but the driver didn't have my confidence in the long sweepers. Also, because it was taking so long to beat him I was around 5500rpm in 6th gear. Couldn't tell you what MPH that was as I was riding the wall(in the left carpool lane) and keeping my eyes on the road.

That's 155-156mph in an S4, so you weren't turning that stock, as you are limited to 143mph
thoug some S4's have seen 145-149 stock.
Could have hit 155mph in an S4, but something would ahve to be wrong (right, if you look at it another way) with your elec. speed limiter.
If you beat him stock, you would have killed him chipped.
The I35 is a nice car, the RWD just keeps many snowbelt drivers from considering it.

I had a run in with one but
he was not amused how badly I beat him. I was filling up at the Gas station as was he. He walked over and started making small talk. Then he goes on to mention how the G35 was engineered to beat the S4 and that he had already beaten several A4's. I assured him the A4 was not even in the same League as the S4 and that I would be more than happy to prove it to him. He laughed and said ok but don't mad when your feelings get hurt. We got on the highway and proceeded to do a few 60mph roll ons. After the third time of me walking no wait scratch that ...running away from him I slowed down so he could catch up. I looked over and the guy flips me off and starts to exit. My huge smile turned into an endless laugh all the way home...
