Teaser: Carrera GT running at VIR today, someone here got a pass on video...
I won't ruin it for the (I'm sure) proud driver. I can't wait to see that one! Other reports are that it sounds amazing.

Spent two days doing a photoshoot for Porsche with a yellow & silver Carrera GT last week.
Drivers were Doc Bundy, Hurley Haywood and Cass Whitehead.
The car does sound incredible and it photographs very well.
It's tone changes incredibly at about 3000rpm when the cams change over. It's pretty loud and sounds so mechanically beautiful.
I went for a hot lap with Hurley (Leslie went with Cass) and while the cars impressive in every way (braking, accleration and G loading), nothing is more impressive than it's sound and balance. The mechanical noise behind your head is a sweet as it comes, period. Sweeter than an F50, F40, Murcielago and all race cars I've been in for sure.
It's quite fun with the traction control off as well!
We have seen a few C GT's at tracks, and spent some time with C GT #1 at Porsche's factory in Zuffenhausen in March. They are truly unreal cars. Nothing touches it by any manfacturer in solidity, strength and capability, except maybe a McLaren F1.
We are shooting a PCA Milwaukee event this coming Wed at Blackhawk Farms that will have another C GT in attendance (president of Mercury Outboards).

I got to watch one run at the Memphis PCA event last weekend.....
the guy made some laps and it sounded like a muted F1 car....."watching it" it was so fast compared to the other cars running and the braking was unreal....the brakes a freakin enormous!....the guy actually spun the car off in the grass! There is definate fun in watching some rich dude spin his half million dollar toy.
