Default Test drove a B7 S4 today....

Very nice car out of the box.... I would seriously consider one if it have a better suspension and about 150 more hp and torque. Fit and finish are fantastic... and you can really feel the 30% extra stiffness in the chassis. Seat are great... way better then my RS6's and stock B5 S4. About the same as the S8 but I think I still prefer the S8 Recaros. All in all a great package.

Default how would you compare it to the b6 s4?

i had a similar experience with the b6. if only it (or the rs4 for that matter) had turbos...

Default owned a B6 A4 prior to my B5 S4.......

always prefered the B6 chassis and interior to the B5. Only wish the 2.7T was an option on the B6s.

Default Then your dad had or has the comfort seats and not the Recaro's.... trust me I know they are both

sitting in my garage.... the S8 sport seats are Recao's and the RS6 seats are (in USA) the AoA seats out of the 02 03 S6 (thank you DOT).... nowhere near as good as the S8 Recaro.
I infact looked into importing the RS6 Recaro's from Europe... but 7500 was a bit steap for a car I am leasing.

Default Thank you, i see. Still, like you said, the RS6 seats are a little disapointing, especially for...

the caliber of car it is supposed to be. There were no options on seats correct? I know there were very little options on the car IIRC, just the NAVI, sound enhancing exhaust...

Default Option list on the RS6

Carbon fiber trim
Rear air bags
Nav
Warm weather pkg- (power rear sun shade, side manuals, solar pannel in sunroof to run fans)
Sound Enhancing exhaust - well worth it IMO. I have heard both and the Sound Enhancing is a religous experience:^)

There were no seat options... just the ****ty ones that came with the car. DOT screwed us on that one. The cars could of had the Recaro's but it would have added another $1600 to the price of a car that was already at the very top of the range. I would have traded the alcantra headlinder (stock) for the seats. I heard they were about the same price.

Now a twin turbo V8 would be awesome in the B7 or B6... I would get rid of the RS6 for that:^)

RS6 motor in a B7 would be a no brainer:^)
