I have to swap this out also (for CF) but it looks like i'll have to go to a shop for this one
It is my understanding that you must remove the dash and glovebox to undo the clips that hold the trim on.
Also, the clips break and are not re-useable. So you need to order new ones.

No there isn't. There is no way you can get to the clips in the middle without taking the center
console out. Of course you have to take the glove box and the knee bolster out too. The clips are a pain to remove but no you don't need new ones like that guy suggested. The funny thing is that they have these very easy to remove clips on the door panels but up under the dash where you can barely reach they have different clips that are a pain in the *** to take off.

I was just going by what Stealth4 told me. The clips are easy to break and are for the most case
unuseable once you take them off. I completely agree that the ones on the door are a breeze. Putting them back on was a bit of a bitch until you find the right technique :-P

Just did it last weekend using the Tech article. It's not as hard as it seems.
Time consuming, yes. Difficult, not really. Takes some patience and flexibility, nothing more.
If you take your time and follow the instructions you won't break the clips on the dash pieces and you can re-use them. I bought new ones just in case.
The doors are super quick to do if you've ever taken a door panel off before and remember the steps. The door clips are not re-usable on the aluminum trim. You'll need 18 clips for the doors (5 for each front, 4 for each rear).
Shoot me an email if you have any questions.

I don't know how he butchered his but I've never broken a clip and I've done quite a few. They are
VERY usable once you take them off. They will get bent a bid but you just have to flaten them back out before you put them back in. If you are so scared of messing them up than just order some new ones before you do anything. I can't imagine them being more than a few cents each.
