Is there any reason why I SHOULDN'T get the Avant-specific H&R coilovers for my sedan?

The rear spring rate is 25 lbs. higher on the Avant coilover than on the sedan. I'm thinking that will help to curb understeer a little bit better than the 450/450 spring rates on the sedan-specific coil-overs. Is there any reason I shouldn't do this?

Default I'm pretty sure....

the rates for the sedan specific are 450/450 and the rates for the avant specific are 450/475 to account for the big rear end on the avant

If I was buying a new set, I would get the Avant specific versions.

Is my thinking correct? I'm a n00b at this suspension stuff. Wondering what your logic is.

Default you logic is sound. get the avant ones.

you may still want to add the 19mm rear sway on soft.

Default why would you purposely introduce oversteer with more stiffness

in the rear than go for a more neutral setup?

I alreay have it, but I was thinking of dumping it once I got the C/O's. You think I should keep it?

Default It's not to promote oversteer...

It's to promote a neutral balance, because the car stock understeers something furious.

Default 25 lbs more in the back won't promote oversteer...

it means *a little less* understeer...but the car will still understeer!

My car has 100 lbs high spring rate in the back, and as near as I can tell (fiddling on on ramps in the wet) it's pretty well balanced.
