Thinking of making some Carbon RS4 body panels...
I am thinking about producing some carbon fenders, skirts, front and rear bumpers, rear trunk lid out of carbon. I don't think I can produce the rear doors or quarter panels. I will be using the original RS4 panels to make my moulds.
I have some experience of composite construction but this is not my day job. The main reason for me doing this is to reduce weight on my S4 track car and also expand my knowledge in the use of vacuum consolidated prepreg construction.
Don't expect any results soon as it will take me a while. I have to constuct a curing oven first before I can start. I am not looking at doing this for commercial reasons. However, I may be able to supply a limited number of parts in the future if anyone is interested.
