Thunking sound from the front wheel well location when I turn in and park the car...
Any ideas? My S4 is a 2000 - doesn't make the sound when braking straight line, only braking and turning. Thanks.

No, it's not the slight shudder we get when we make a hard turn...
due to the quattro system, this is an audible thunking sound from the wheel well region - ? brake related, CV boots, something along this line.

Yup. It happens to all AWD cars.
They haven't gone out on the S yet, but they have gone out on my moms A6, the A4, and all 6 of the Subies (my current POS subie's CV boots just went out last night). No biggie, they are cheap to replace if you don't have a warranty. If you do, then it is all covered.
