Bear in mind that the lower the % the darker...
I went for 30%. This is not too dark. One can stand next to the car and see in, yet the effect of tinting is noticeable(sp). Prices are all over the ballpark. I paid $190.00 for a very good job using SolarGuard materials. I did not go for metallic as I've a V1 and it's responsiveness is very important to me. I've inclosed a link to my registry page. You can check it out.

Question: Is your rear window tint all the way out to the edges?
My rear window is one piece BUT there is a rim of untinted window of about 1/4" all the way around. Like the guy didn't want to tint over the "black dot" part of the window. Anyone with the same?

My tint installer installed over the black "bumps" BUT...
...the tint doesn't adhere great to the edge area due to these black dots. I don't think there's really any way around this issue unless you somehow:
1) Remove the black dots -- maybe they can be scraped off? Not sure exactly what they're made of. Paint?
2) Spend a ton of time with a heat gun and a squeegee getting the tint to conform to the bumps. My installer did this for me and he did a pretty darn good job of minimizing the problem. I've seen lesser tint jobs that didn't look so hot in the edge area.
BTW, I paid a premium price for my install...something like $280 about 2 years ago. But I don't mind paying a bit more for quality work.

Depends on where you live. Check you state codes.. I wen t LA Tint here in VA(more)
They are one of the better installers. I have 30% all the way around on mine. The tint however is full metalized, but not metallic. It has beed rated the best tint on the market for the last three years. Llumar is maker and the they hold the patent on the product.
Advantages over most dyed tints, which is everything else on the market:
1.By using metal as the tinting agent, they can modify darkness by the density of the metal sprayed into the film.
2.99% UVA/B prtected. Keeps the leather from craking and drying out.
3.87% heat reduction which you can actually feel if you roll the window down half way and put you arm in between the tint line and the sun. pretty amazing.
4.Will not turn purple because there is no dye.
5. Guaranteed to look like it does teh first day it went on forever or they will replace it for free.
6.For 20 bucks you can buy a no fault guarantee that says if you scratch for any reason, they will redo the window for free. Because the tine does not change color over time, you'll never run into a matching problem.
Good stuff costs more, it set me back 250.00 for the whole car, one piece on every window including the windshield, that was an extra 100.00 that you can have in VA with a vision permit. I have a black interior, so it looks dark enough.
Good luck
