Default Today's DIY- RS4 look beltline trim....

I have always wanted the RS4 Trim, but couldn't justify the $1100 price tag it comes with... well long story short I just decided to make my own...

let me know you opinion... I'll snap some pics of the rest of the pieces in when I get the time to pull the dash and doors apart to install the new stuff.

started with this....

Looks good. I'd like to see how that took you a couple of hours?

Default honestly, maybe 4 hours total....

basic CF work, all I did was start with a piece of stock A4 trim, removed the alum, proceded to lay down a thin layer of epoxy resin, when it got tacky, I layed up my CF... once that was set, I saturated it from the top... a proceed to than lay a couple thin layers of resin to build up the depth. I layed a new layer when the previous was still tacky, but set. The final layer was a layer of gel coat down... that all took about 1.5-2 hours for the dash,,, set it overnight and that the next morning just sanded it.. starting with 300 and getting finer till I was left with what you see above... maybe another 1.5-2 hours for the 2 dash pieces.

maybe I'll shoot a step by step when i do the doors.
