Toy Guy Short Shifter installed - NICE!
Just installed my Toy Guy SS. I had Craig cut the shaft down 1" as well, resulting in a 41% reduction in throw. All I can say is WOW, the shifter is incredible. Craig does quality work...
A word of advice to anyone installing a SS, take your time and adjust it right! I was rather depressed when I first installed it, because of how 'nochy' it felt. I spent approx 30 minutes adjusting, to get it just right, and now it's butter smooth....
Thanks Craig!

When cut down 1" the adjustment becomes more critical.
Regardless,
The shifter in the neutral position should be tilting back by 7 degrees (1/2 inch from shaft top to entry into mechanism).
But the most important thing is the tilt to the right...In neutral, the tilt should be to the right by 3 degrees... this amounts to about 1/4 inch from shifter top to entry.
It may take some tweaking, but worth it

Re: Actually, I meant how much tilt. 1/2" back and 1/4" right, or did you do more?
Sorry for my misunderstanding....
I used Craig's directions and 'attempted' to start from those specs. But, to be honest, after first eyeing it up close to that, the remaining 25 minutes was spent just playing with it from my end. After initial adjustment I didn't worry about the 1/2" back, and 1/4" to the right. Maybe that's where I ended up, but during my adjustment period I just made sure it was back and to the right, because I knew that's the direction I need to keep going in order to get left/right play in 1/2 and 5/6. My 'sweet spot' left equal play left/right in 1/2, and just slightly less in 5/6. This resulted in a 1/2 shift that is just perfectly smooth, as well as the 5/6.
I hope this helps, I'll try and get a picture up for referene.
Thanks,
Travis
