...could it still be the synchro's that are bad or is it likely something else, like the slider mechanism or something like that? Apparently the dealership inspected the linkage and didn't find anything wrong there, they said the problem has to lie inside the tranny itself...greeeeaat. Estimated 15 hours labor and they need the car for a week.

They also tried "readjusting" the shifter but to no avail, although I know they didn't know what they were doing because I inspected the shifter afterwards and it is now pointed straight up rather than being skewed to the right and back like it was when it was correct.

I'm pretty fed up at this point considering the damage happened while the car was in their possession which they are taking no responsibility for (which I discussed with AoA and they are looking into the issue). Anyone know of any Indy tranny shops in the Allentown, PA area good with S4 manuals?
