Default Trying to install JHM shifter stabilizer bushing...feel retarded - can someone chime in?

I'm trying to locate this under the car - watched the video and it looks like it's in plain sight. But when i'm under the car I can't find this thing anywhere around the tranny.

Hard to tell where it is from the video because it's zoomed in so close...does someone have a general area to look around? IE; near front axle, driver/pass side, etc? God I feel retarded.

Default Watch the video again

He states that on the S4, the install is significantly more difficult. The part you are looking for is on top of the transmission. In order to get to it, you need to drop the transmission. I think he said you had to lower the motor a bit as well, something like that.

Good luck

Default doh! Just found it...that's a f'n bitch! I can fit a allen key in there cause I have small hands.

Possible to do without dropping the tranny? Otherwise I think i'm returning this...unless someone wants it?

Default Remove the two carriage bolts from the rear of the subframe.

that should lower everything to make it easier.
