Which turbos would you do and why? (repost for day crowd)
K03/K04 hybrid
K03/K16 hybrid
K03/K04/K16 Tribrid (AKA K04/K16v2)
Or a straight K04.
This is for a 2000 Tiptronic S4 with the following mods. (willing to upgrade tip in the future to L10 or equivelent)
GIAC-X, TIP CHIP, Forge DV, Smaco TBB, Brullen Exhaust, and blown K03s.
K03/K16 hybrid

K04s are almost impossible to source these days compared to in the past. I'd go k03/K16.
Even if hybrids were still relatively new as you say, althought it's not a true statement, the person who builds them is very honest and will stand behind his products if anything goes wrong.
