Default Ugh...bumped a curb...

...trying to get into a gas station I cut the turn a bit too sharp and hit the sloping apron part of the curb with my back rear wheel. So in 1500 miles that makes one blown tire (nail), one accident (~$3500), and now a damaged rim (this one my fault obviously). It took a tiny chunk out of the edge of the rim and cut the tire. I assume some of you have had this happen too, what did you do? The tire is not cut on the thin part of the sidewall, it's cut where it widens out where it meets the rim. I probably should put on the spare and take it to a tire dealer to see if it's trashed though. And how about the rim? Do I need to get that fixed or is it probably OK? I didn't hit the curb hard enough to bend anything, just took a little chunk out along the edge. Thanks for your continuing advice on my sofar sad saga of owning such a fine vehicle.
