Ugh, need more help if possible. much more in depth this time
ok, so i am misfiring. pretty bad in cylinder 1. 190 hits and counting via vag-com.
that seems to be the problem, but there could be more, so let me give you some background info:
car has been sitting since august for the most part. except for being moved in and out of the way, it hasnt been driven a significant distance.
before it went to where it waited, it had some misfire stuff, and i could safely attribute it to the wrong set of plugs being sent to me instead of the ones i ordered. they ran fine for a little while, but after so long they just got fouled.
so i thought i could just replace at the same time as this other part i was waiting on......and have the car back, sort of like two birds one stone.
part i was waiting for gets installed, fire the car up and woah, misfires are abundant. much worse than ever before. misfires at idle, load, holding revs, everywhere. but since the plugs havent been swapped yet, i dont really worry, i still think they will solve the problem.
wake up this morning and install the plugs. took about and hour and a half which was pretty good i thought. i had limited tools and had only done this once before.....i wasnt rushing but still i was happy it went quickly.
start the car up, and.....beautiful idle. ah yes, the car is back and i am happy. time to go for a drive.
get about ten miles and i feel 1 maybe 2 sputters. i write it off as car adjusting and being fussy it sat so long....no big deal. get to a stop sign, total of 12 miles total driven, and at the engagment of the clutch car misfires a good 4-5 times (of course it is probobly more, but i could feel that many sputters) anyways i drive another few miles and car sounds like it is running on straight burbon. spitting like crazy. damn.
so i vag, and see which cylinder it is (hence todays previous post) it isnt throwing codes, but it is def misfiring, 190+ per minute, like i said before. cylinder 1 is the one registering the most hits, so i change the coilpack for ****s and giggles, hoping it isnt an injector. plugs should be fine being brand new, being the right ones, and being it takes an idiot not to be able to tq down plugs correctly.
start car. runs great. smile on face. drive car happy once again.
get close to work, and car is sputtering wildly. less than 15 miles driven again. cylinder 1, 4 and 5 are registering hits, 1 being 150+ again, and 4 and 5 being less than 20. so i turn around knowing i wont get work done today thinking about the car, and here i am. on the way home the cel came on, but my laptop is out of battery charge, so i am posting while it is charging up.
so i am thinking injector. i mean the coilpack and plug are brand new in cyl 1 and the misfires keep coming. funny thing is it only sputters real bad under load. for example when you are starting from a stop, or getting close to hitting boost (i cant hit boost yet cuz i am waiting for the previously installed part to break in)
any input?
just a note: last time my car sat this long i had a similar problem. i ended up solving it by installing the rs4 fuel pump. i had one around that i bought, and since it wasnt doing any good on my desk, i figured what the hell, threw it in and the car ran great. think it might have happened again to me? condensation in the tank rusting out the pump components maybe?
any help diagnosing is really appreciated. i will go out and vag in an hour or so when my laptops batteries are charged, so i am around till then.

I should have known better I guess. Well, at least you have the right plugs.
You could try seafoam.
