Update on headlight problem. It wasn't the lamp or the wiring harness.

Update on headlight problem. It wasn't the lamp or the wiring harness.
It was a blown fuse for the passenger side low beam. Now that I think about it, that's what happened the last time and it was the same light. Not sure what's causing the fuse to blow but at least it's a cheap fix when it does. Could be a faulty ballast causing a high current draw at startup (I notice that both times it blew as soon as I turned the switch on). Or it could be a short somewhere in the wiring. Take your ballast cover off and see if there's any condensation damage inside
I had one fail because my housing had a small leak, water got inside the ballast, and the rest is history.
I think I bought mine from LLTek (cheaper than the dealer) and it was an OEM unit.
