Update on local AoA staffing re: OTS name change
Well...it turns out the OTS (Ownership technical specialist) that usually visits dealerships and works with customers on warranty claims...is getting a new name...FOM (Fixed Operations Manager)...which is now more involved with service and parts department management at dealerships, and less on technical issues. Is this good or bad...I dunno. Time will tell. However, in my region they are hiring more AoA staff to service about the same number of dealerships.
My old OTS...now a FOM...now will service specifically Diablo Audi in Concord, Livermore Audi in Livermore, Niello and Lasher in the Sacramento Valley...the Reno and Vegas NV dealerships..and a couple of tiny dealers in Wyoming and Montana. At least he will be working with dealers I can take my car to.
It looks like the new guy may have to have a technical degree...so he can respond to technical (translation...warranty?) issues.
Anyway...I would anticipate that this may be a nationwide movement...so I thought you might be interested in this tidbit.
