Default Update: My car will still not start. (from last week)

I can't find last weeks post, but if you will recall, my car will not start.
I gave it a new battery and replaced all the plugs and still nothing. It is getting fuel, so it has to be a spark problem. The ECU is fine and the coils all look to be for good shape. I am also still getting an odd EVAP dtc, but I doubt it is related.
I am about to start testing coils, but before I start tearing things apart again, is there anything that could have become disconected? I figure the car would still start (or at least catch) if even a few coils were still working, but it seems to be totally dead, like no coils are getting power.
Any other ideas now that I definatly ruled out the battery and spark plugs?

With the key in the ON position, do you see a CEL on the dash?

Great question. If not, time to take out the ECU.

Default next thought...

Check the ignition amps on the airbox (or what used to be the airbox). There is a test procedure for those in the B5 A4 forum somewhere...just search. That should apply here as well. Or look up the info in Bentley.

I think there are some relays inside the weatherbox that holds the ECU. Check all of them as well.

That or both ECU's are dead. But I doubt that.

2nd. Also...how do you know the car is getting fuel? Have you checked the fuses?

Default I can smell it flooding and hear the fuel pump come on......

And I have checked all the fuses, but it is worth another look.

Default Could be the ECT sensor. Do you have the old(black) one or the updated(green) sensor??

Its cheap enought to just replace it to be sure.
