USAA was kind enough to tell me our insurance was going up because the symbol for our Audis changed
The "symbol" being how cars rate from a theft, repair cost and crash liability perspective. They didn't give details, but said the change was on both the S4 and allroad. I assume they caught wind of the theft problem for S4's and the repair cost problems in general for Audis (and other imported luxury cars). It was close to a 10% increase IIRC.

When I asked for an insurance quote for my S4 before I purchased, my agent was very surprised that..
an AUDI of all cars could have such a high insurance rating. Apparently, the S4 has a special symbol or something for insurance purposes due to its high risk nature... She was VERY intrigued that I was getting a car of such high caliber. It was quite flattering and all, but not enough to make up for the fact the my insurance premium would go up by over $100 per month over my Nissan Maxima. OUCH!
