A Volvo that's as fast as an S4 stock or chipped? Supposedly this one is...

my wife's '99 S70 GLT "feels" as quick as my '00 w/Tip
I haven't done any telephone pole timing tests yet, but the S70 from the seat of the pants feels as quick. The cars magazines state a 6.5 or 6.7 0-60 for the S70 GLT, so it would be a close one for the Tiptronic.

we had a '99 AWD S70, it felt noticably slower than our GLT, same motor but AWD setup
We had a lemon AWD so the dealer got us out and into a new loaded GLT plus gave us $1000 back. We had a loaner Cross Country that felt faster than our AWD.
I test drove the C70 Convertible with the larger turbo and would have got it if the price would have been the same as the S4. They are 2 totally different cars, obviously.
Don Beyer in Falls Church, VA, now also in Sterling, VA. Dealership was very nice to us.

That is true. The 240HP comes at 5600RPM, which is higher, but...
it's not only because of revving it higher. There were some ECU tweaks to add the 18HP. And I don't think you meant redline. 240HP @ 5600RPM is where peak horsepower is produced. 5600RPM is not where the redline is. It's much higher.
At 5600RPM, the regular Turbo/T-5 models still would not produce 240HP.
