Default Well I tried putting fuel injector cleaner in my S4.............

Im an idiot though, put in the cheveron fuel injector cleaner, except I put it in when I had a half tank of gas!

Well I drive around and start to realize that when I give it gas past 3000 rpm it'll just "slide" to like 5,000 - 6,000 rpms without giving me the power. The engine makes some type of noise like it wanting to give me the power, but the fuel isnt going. Im hoping that this is because I was running the additive with half a tank, and your suppose to run it with a full tank. Im freaking out, so I fill the car up with gas until the tank was full.
Well I drove around for a while today, and the problem never fixed it self. It'll give semi decent power between 1,000 and 3,000. As soon as it hits past 3,000 rpm just jumps all the way up to 5,000 with no power. Has the gas not mixed completely ? Will this go away as soon as I run through the entire tank when there is no cleaner in the gas??
My guess is im running more cleaner than gas, since i had half tank. So im hoping the gas will mix or it'll go away after i get a new full tank.
Any suggestions or insight would help, thanks!
Im hoping this will fix the problem, or hopefully I can run through the gas and the problem will be fine.

Default Has nothing to do with the gas or cleaner. Your clutch is toast!

If the engine revs but the car doesn't move, it's the clutch (or trans if your a tip).

just had the syncrhos done under warranty. they checked the clutch and said it had 60% left and didnt need to be changed. The clutch seems fine. The car had no problems until I put the cleaner in with half a tank. Before this the car was running strong, should I just run through this tank of gas, and see if the problem goes away? If it doesnt should I take it in to be checked at the dealer or a shop?

thanks

I guess, but I still say it's the clutch. Why do you say it "seems fine"?

Default *bangs head against wall*

It has nothing to do with the injector cleaner man.

Check your clutch.

Can't you use 100 octane to clean your injectors too

Default it kinda has to be - if the motor is getting speed without it being transferred to the driveline...

...something mechanical isnt right. I'd guess the dealer fubared the clutch when they fixed the tranny.

It sounds like this is your first experience with a slipping clutch - rpm up but no go = clutch gone
