As soon as I saw the text on your post, I knew it was going to be the *** end of a Benz. They seem to be ahead of the field in the current styling. The back end of the SL's is one of the nicest things I have ever gawked at.

why don't they belong? They are a german car manufacturer? seems like your point...
needs to exclude ALL carmakers to be successful.
I think design of a car is a universal subject, as it has to be in order for it to be successful in public.
I don't think the Germans have any better visual sensibilities than do the Japanese or other manufacturers.
