Welp, got my 5k service covered...
If you recall, in my post a few days ago I was denied the 5k service on my 2002 despite that my booklet SHOWS that the first service is at 5k.
I called and AOA customer service an got a total run-around and them telling me to read the last page of the book where it says specs subject to change... bla bla bla. They flat said no. [yoda voice] Pissed at them I was... mmmmm. [/yoda voice] I rudely hung up on the guy.
I know it's "only" an oil change and such but by that point it had become a matter of principal... my book says 5k damnit! I'd already wasted more effort and time than the 5k service was worth, but.
Anyway several phone calls later they begrudgingly agreed to cover it although I was supposed to pay for the service, send them the invoice and they'd send me a check to cover it. [sigh] Whatever.
Sooo, I take the car in prepared to pay for the service and jump through the hoop to get my $$ back. BUT, to my surprise the regional service guy flexed his pen and signed off on my ticket so Audi IS paying for it like they should. I assume the dealer called him on my behalf... I don't know. If so, thanks Advantage Audi.
Sheesh... all that for a 5k service. Ah well, car serviced and synthetic oil now and forever.
Audi is lucky I love this car so much. I don't think "normal people" would put up with this kind of crap.
