Default best and cheapest rarely are the same thing...

in addition, if all you want is to lower the car, and you don't care about your shocks or handling, just pick up some H&R Race Springs and you'll be set.

If you care about handling, get a fixed height kit.

If you care about handling and want the ability to adjust your ride height, get coilovers.

Cut your springs or heat them. :}
