What is better for the MOTOR? Idle car to allow oil to warm, or drive right after idle drops to 800?

I've heard both, both from mechanics. One says it is better for you to wait until the idle drops, then go so that the oil that is circulating is not cold, and the other said that it is bad to circulate that cold oil! Which do you guys agree more with?

Basically motor is internally driven, engine driven using form of external fuel.
Even though "I am THAT guy" I find it more amusing to me then anything. It's all semantics. Manufactures call the parts anything they want. They could call them candy control units and they would still be controlling the engine electronics.
Maybe you should call Uve at Ross-Tech and tell him to change address word 01 to MOTOR.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Engine</a
