What do you guys think of the new remote mount turbo fad?
I was watching Two Guys Garage last night, and they installed a Squires remote mount twin turbo kit on a new Corvette.
They were claiming the turbolag was non-existent. I would find that hard to believe given the length of the engine intake with a remote turbo system. Although they seem to relocate the air intake to the rear of the car to shorten the intake path.

http://www.ststurbo.com/remote_mounting___</a

Re:
Seems like a decent idea, id be curious to see a comparison of two identical cars and two identical turbos, one being used that method and one being used the conventional way...probly be pretty hard to make things fair tho...just my thoughts

I saw a single rear mounted turbo camaro a couple weeks ago at one of the meets here.
It sounds crazy cause you hear this loud *** turbo whistle. Not sure how fast the car was, he did give this MKIV Supra a good run for the fairly short run they ran....but not sure how much power it's making. Didn't get to talk to the owner.
