Ok...work with me here...what if there was a panel of 4-6 Audi owners in your region (probably Audiworld forum readers) that were allowed to act as a tribunal or mediator for issues regarding major issues with dealerships and Audi warranty coverage. If you had an issue...your case would be assigned to the group...at least 4 members of the group would have to read your case...and view the car firsthand. Then, as a group they would make a decision on the case. If they decided that AoA should cover "this or that" then AoA would abide by that decision and do the repair...but...if they took the other position..and stated that this is not something that AoA should cover under their warranty...then that would be the end of the discussion...and the matter would be settled. Would you agree to this type of mediation? A good many of us on this forum have had a B5 platform A4/S4, sometimes both, and really understand Audi issues a bit better than if this issue went to some individual, probably an accounting-type mediator that knows squat about Audis or automobiles in general. How would you feel about this?

BTW, I am not saying that this will happen...I am just wondering what people think about the possibility of this happening.

Post your comments here...for AoA lurkers to read.

Thanks...

Default Hmmm, well Mr. Stealth . . .

I guess I would want to have some VERY KNOWLEDGEABLE people on this tribunal to make decisions. If I had it my way, I would also want a senior tech from a local dealer to sit on this tribunal for "more technical issues". But in the case of "common failures" (i.e. 2K turbos, DV's, Potenzas, washer fluid resevoirs) I'm sure they/we would almost always approve of these types of repairs. But in other cases, I guess I wouldn't want to have any "bias" among members of the tribunal or towards other individuals who may not be liked by others on the AW forums.

Default We actually already have this. It's in your owners manual. It's the BBB mediator.

Not that I have any experience with using them or anything...
